Hochwaldbaude in Oybin

We were allowed to spend the night in this beautiful mountain hut after a long hike in the hiking accommodation, the host is a unique piece, the dinner hearty and delicious, we felt very comfortable after the day-trippers left and quiet moved into the hut, we are with them at night the children out on the viewing platform and enjoyed the rough autumn weather, and slept well afterwards. After a hearty breakfast, we went on to Jonsdorf-Lausche .. The building dog Aurum accompanied us on our way. A trip here is highly recommended for nature lovers .. we wish the innkeepers and their helpers all the best! Until next time..

Hochwalbaude The set has been the goal of our walks several times. Unfortunately. During the last visit, very unpleasant employees behaved superiors. His nervousness and arrogance surprised us unpleasantly. The highlight of our dissatisfaction was bringing garlic soup. We were surprised by the very small amount (1.5 deciliters) and we were even surprised by the unbelievable price of 4.50 eura for Římě small portions. In the future, we'll just walk around this restaurant.

I agree with the opinion that it is not for retirees and the disabled. You can't call the stairs, the stairs, that's nothing. ACCIDENT RISK for the handicapped. Friendliness and service and food wasn't bad either. I would be happy if you get on the bus in Olbyn that you are advised of the difficult climb to Bauder. Unfortunately, the tower was all closed

I can't say anything about the food, because after half an hour we couldn't even order drinks, let alone food. We then went hungry. The only waiter was busy removing empty glasses from the neighboring tables and obviously forgot the few guests who were still there, desperately waiting for the opportunity to order. At least one was rewarded with a great view while waiting. After more than half an hour we gave up waiting, as did other angry guests. That didn't particularly bother the waiter. He calmly cleaned up further. On a Saturday he was probably already mentally after work shortly before 2 p.m.

Swedish cups eaten ... No savings on cream and eggnog. Thanks for that 🤗 Two star deduction for the huge number of spiders on the toilet. Which I couldn't use then.

Very disappointing not to be recommended at all. Not suitable for old people who are poor on foot. Staff very unfriendly. Food not bad but very small portions and way too expensive.

I can only rate the service of the restaurant, there was no overnight stay. Service is very friendly, but it can take a while if the building is full. The food is tasty and not overpriced. Note on accessibility: You can use the "Gebirgsexpress" to go to and from the hut, but you should be aware that it does not stop in front of the hut. A little uphill or "forest stairs" have to be mastered to the terrace.

Friendly host, food horrible and expensive for what you get. All finished products from the deep fryer. Doesn't work at all. The location and the view are beautiful.

Very unfriendly service. Long waiting times despite moderate occupancy

With the best weather with the bike on the high forest. Accordingly, there was hunger and thirst. Unfortunately, the service was so overwhelmed by the few guests present that we only got 2 cyclists in 30 minutes thanks to the chef. The waiter, however, was not seen at our table. Conclusion: the second star is for the weird humor from the chef, otherwise it was nothing. At least the view was good.

Great view and great atmosphere, almost like in the Alps. But unfortunately 2 star deduction, the waitress had a command tone and it wasn't culinary either! So the two of them probably had no idea about gastronomy!

It was very nice here. The staff very friendly and quick. The hut can be easily reached on foot.

The welcome was warm, the food is delicious and the view is overwhelming. We will definitely be back.

Always amazing food and views .... Some ovens think that there should be prices like at home in the village and on the tap about Svijany, then it's a bit close to us, right ?? :-P Because in that bad Germany, everything is so terribly overpriced, as Máňa said from the apartment building next door. So they don't even look into the beautiful interior and prefer to eat a bun on the terrace and write meaningless reviews and then rinse it off with Zlatopramen from a can from Kaufland. And he's also surprised that they shouldn't eat their own food there ... We were here for the tenth time, this time even an Erdinger Weissbier, it wasn't here before.

I wasn't inside the restaurant, so I would only evaluate the external appearance. On one of the photos I took a menu card. The prices are a bit high, but maybe it matches, I don't know. The surroundings would deserve a little more care, stairs, railings, some flowers, it seems to me a little neglected. Embarrassing are signs with inscriptions that eating their own food is prohibited on the terrace. That is different. The view especially to the Czech interior is beautiful. In good conditions, you can see Říp or Milešovka.

German Czech border and tourist shelter. Worth to see, easy to get

A terrific view. Even a night is absolutely worth it. The mood at sunset is awesome and the host is an absolute unique and fits perfectly on the Baude. We will be back!

Great multi-lingual staff (English, Czech, German)! Alcohol-free Erdinger Weiss on the tap was, perhaps surprisingly, very very tasty! Oh, did I mention the views?

Personnel nice however little bit chaotic. The place is amazing.

We tend to come here as often as possible when we are close by. Always a pleasure to visit the baude for both it's amazing panoramic view and hospitality.
